Quick time thespian keeps truncating my recordings? I volition do a screen recording with sound and only a fraction is recorded OR a portion is truncated from the middle of the recording? Does anyone else have this outcome? What are some alternatives to Quicktime for Mac that are like shooting fish in a barrel to apply. I want to record my screen and have my picture show in the corner to discuss what's on screen. Help Delight!

I can not sympathize why people charge per unit this software so bad. Even if it is non supported for 64 bit applications, it is even so working for 32 bit applications (i.e. on Mavericks). Together with the two QuickTime extensions Flip4Mac (WMV) and Perian (AVI, DivX, MKV and others) information technology can read / play all mutual video formats. Everybody know the videos which play video and audio un-synchronized - this will only happen if QuickTime is not used.
Information technology looks as if this app is no longer being developed. A pity, for it was quite acceptable four years agone... Its virtually hit proof of neglect is the disrespect of Apple GUI code (eg the green dot in the window bar for enlarging the view does not even work). A stain on Apple's image.
I don't think Apple is ever going to fix the broken Software Update in Leopard. iTunes volition get updated to the very latest version, but Quicktime? Nope. Information technology'll remain at sub-7.5.v levels, which means y'all have to manually run out and get it because iTunes WON'T Work without it! What the heck Apple? This has been a problem for months! Anyone doing a clean install of Leopard could be in for a rather rude enkindling, especially if they don't know enough to get hunting for QT 7.7.
Apple is a greedy company...they freaken charge you for using their QT Pro feature..i hateful come up on...it should be standard....after all the money i spend on their hardware products.The program suck really bad...everytime i try to play movie in other format..they enquire me to install plug in which cost even more.... Anyways...VLC all the way...
On a make clean installed King of beasts arrangement, I did something (that I tin't recall) with a video file that triggered being prompted to install QuickTime Player vii (similar to what happens with Coffee). Is that familiar to anyone and do you know what can crusade it? Thank you.
Sure am glad that I kept QuickTime Player vii.half dozen.6 on my new MacBook Pro with every bit new Apple external display. QTPlayer seven.vi.6 lets me do what QT Actor 10.1 volition non: play movies on my secondary screen. I remember I am not alone in wondering what I get for my money and what exactly the difference is between QuickTime Pro and QuickTime Actor 10. I am on Snow Leopard and the principle ii things I want to exercise is trim movies accurately and to capture tutorials grade the web to view offline. It would be nice if I could also create tutorials, combining text and video but that is not the principal reason for upgrading. QT Pro is not inexpensive and I really would like to know it it volition work not but in SL simply Panthera leo in the future. Any advice?

The installer for Bone 10.vii Lion no longer offers an optional QuickTime 7 installation. And so I crossed my fingers and downloaded this, but the QT 7.7 installer wouldn't allow it to install in Panthera leo, and the .mpkg installer won't even allow looking int3o it. Does anyone know some other way to install a version of QT that volition piece of work in Panthera leo — and where to find information technology?

Echo For years Quicktime just worked so well that y'all never knew it was at that place.Suddenly there is an echo every fourth dimension I try to watch anything on line. I take reinstalled the newest QT vii for 10.vi.7 and it seems to solve the problem then..... echo echo

My Software Update told me yesterday that there was new Quicktime software available... So I let it install. It says it'southward seven.6.9. I'thou confused. I'chiliad on a G5 OS X 10.five.8.

No more Quicktime for us G5 folks, I guess. I'm curious if anyone knows how many working Mac computers out there are still PPC? What'due south the percentage difference between PPCs and Intels? Are there that many more Intels in utilize, so that Apple has dropped support for their computers only 5 years old?
